What is Document Scanning?
Document scanning is the multi-step process of converting a paper page into an electronic image of that page. The quality of the image depends on the technologies and processes utilized by the vendor converting the files.
What is OCR?
OCR or Optical Character Recognition refers to technologies that involve "reading" words from a scanned image by translating each character on an image into searchable text. OCR enables users to search for and retrieve information within a file or page. In addition, when a set of files is indexed, users are able to search for keywords across an entire document library and retrieve each page with exact precision. OCR enables users to execute searches in seconds, searches that once required hours or days to complete.
What things should I know when my company wants to conduct a document scanning project?

Can Concord come on location to copy or scan documents.
Yes, Concord handles "on-site" projects on a daily basis. Our team is experienced in handling various projects from medical records to hundreds of boxes.
How do I start using Concord?
Place a call in to the office and ask for a credit application. All clients are on a C.O.D. basis until corporate credit has been approved.
I need someone out to scan 5 boxes, how much of a notice does Concord need?
If Concord can pick up & scan the documents, no notice is needed. If copying is on-site, we would like 48 hours (but a minimum of 24 hours).
Can you handle oversize prints?
Concord is one of few Southern California companies that can scan oversize prints on-site. In addition, Concord has several plotters to print & mount exhibit boards or various types of presentation boards. We can mount on foam core, gator board, laminate and scan to any electronic format.
Can Concord match a scanning price quote from "ABC Company"
Concord is a service company that provides quality work. We "quality control" all work product, while some companies don't know what quality control is. Although we are competitve and are able to match or beat most competitors, we are NOT the cheapest.

We strongly encourage all clients to visit the competition and come see Concord's commitment to our customers. The picture on our website is actually our shop.
